Usually, yes. Update-related breakages are one of the most common problems I fix, typically caused by a plugin or theme conflict or an incompatible PHP version.
Do I have to switch away from WordPress?
No. If WordPress works for you, I'll fix and maintain it. If your site has outgrown it, I'll tell you honestly and we can talk about a redesign.
Do you work on WordPress sites built by someone else?
Yes. Most of the WordPress sites I fix were built by another developer, an agency or the owner. I'll get familiar with your setup before changing anything.
